„UNDER CONSTRUCTION", "DANGEROUS AREA", "NO ENTRY". The signs warn us that we have wandered into an area where something is being gutted, patched, put it on ice. But slowly everyone are run down and patching themeselves up. It would be smarter to put warning tape around everyting here.
We are in a never-ending construction zone. We hope that one day it will be sorted out, that the construction company will not collapse. As long as there is warning tape we can close it down.
Construction industry is not a playground. (Is the construction industry really not a playground?)
Through the figure of the empowered guest worker, the stony woman I try to articulate our experiences, which revolve around the theme of internal reconstruction and everyday struggles of losing and gaining space.
