FREGOLI

I evoke the memory of Fregoli (clothes dryer). Through the object, I tell the story of three generations living together. I play with the position of the object, the clothes dryer is the only element in everyday life that has a view.

In the video installation, I project onto bed sheets spread over a child's bathtube. I incorporate scenes of home bathrooms with family photos. The old photos feature my female ancestors on my mother's side, and the shots show my grandmother, my mother and me active around and in the tub. In the video, layers of images from different times overlap.

The work was created and presented as part of the ZSK 2020 mentoring program in an exhibition in Aurora community center, Budapest.
